Wild now gathering pace.

Wild trials are officially over and proved a successful excersise in preperation for the teams first season.

Trials at the Wild were only ever going attract a certain amount of attention as a brand new outfit preparing for it’s first season in the Laidler Conference.

Since the start of June we have confirmed the captures of 7 players taking the team count to 11.

Mick Caunce and his coaches are now pretty sure they have signed up all the talent which passed through the trials, there are still some players who were fighting fitness, or showing signs of improvement who have been asked to continue with team training to potentially forge themselves an opening.

Richard Charles, Ben Simister, Tom McDonald, Filip Supa, and the more recently announced; Troy Evans, Steven Gilmartin and Chris Preston have all impressed Mick Caunce through the month and with his trial talent on board, Mick indicated he now wants to turn his attention to some potential major signings.

After announcing the three latest additions, Mick said;
“Other targets have been invited to attend sessions at the rink and we are in talks with several major signing who are undecided where they will ice next season.”

This can only leave us all guessing as to what’s up the Managers sleeve and certainly keeps excitement within the club that something could potentially happen any day.

While now looking to bolster the squad to fill two more lines on the ice, the team must be looking to raise the intensity of the sessions in a bid for maximum fitness to prepare for the start of the season, and gain experience as a team by slotting together a small pre-season schedule for August.

With the WILD now gathering pace across all areas of the club we will soon be looking to announce the day and times of home games, costs per adult, child and family ticket, any season ticket information, rink improvements and ofcourse, what everybody wants to see…. The team kit.
